Primary Responsibilities - Design semiconductor ATE hardware solutions of next generation semiconductor devices for world-wide customers
- Gather and understand customer requirements. Verify whether the information is enough to initiate a design project
- Advise customer on hardware requirements to realize load board/module design projects
- Assess and estimate the hardware design project's schedule, effort, and feasibility
- Perform hardware project task planning, resource planning and mentor junior engineer to co-work on complex design and finish with high quality on time
- Manage project schedules and keep customers informed of the project status. Manage customer to ensure project success and customer satisfaction
- Keep close communication with worldwide Teradyne teams, suppliers and customers
- Deliver hardware design training and seminars to customers
Requirement - Master’s or Bachelor's degree in EE
- 3 years or more hardware design and customer interfacing related working experience
- Needs to be knowledgeable in electronics and multi-layer board design
- Experience in one or more EDA tools, Cadence is preferred, or OrCAD, Protel, PADS and Mentor Graphics
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills for technical discussions in verbal and written form
- Able to communicate with manufacturing suppliers, customers, and other designers around the world. At times, willing to communicate with time zones in Europe and US
- Ability to multitask between multiple projects daily
- Ability to successfully work in a team, cross-functional environment
- Ability to travel oversea for extended period of time
Knowledge/Experience in the below one or more areas is a plus - Familiar with semiconductor testing knowledge and terminology, be able to communicate with test engineer or application engineer smoothly
- Knowledge and experience in Design For Manufacturing(DFM)
- Understand manufacturing process of PCB
- High-speed design and RF circuitry design
- Signal integrity(SI) theory and application, and simulation tools and application, such as Siwave, HFSS, Sigrity
- German, Japanese or Korean language skill
- FPGA design and programming/debugging(VHDL, Verilog)
